RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. It is just a program that enables access to your website’s content without having to visit the website itself.
With having a RSS feed. Your readers can read your latest content using “feed” readers, and they will never have to actually visit your site. Having RSS feed also mean that they can access and read your blog site from Mobile, PDA, Web browser and ,even from your Internet enabled television system.
When using the Mozzila Firefox or any other RSS enabled browsers, you can identify the web sites that are RSS enabled by looking for an orange icon at right side in the address bar, shown by the arrow in picture below.

When you click this icon, that browser will allows you to subscribe to the feed within the browser itself. This is simple thing to subscribe to your RSS feed, but let us see how one can subscribe to hundreds of RSS feed using the Google reader account.
Google reader is free and simple. Like Google reader there are many similar application are available. There you can subscribe to any site that you want to read without actually visit those site.
