1)Start following the top Twitter users and top bloggers who are related to your business and your blog topic.

2)Writing more and more valuable and meaningful tweets is the best way of getting more followers.

3)Treat your Twitter profile in same manner as you are treating with your blog or website, and Try to send more visitors traffic as possible to your twitter profile.

4)Use smart and creative tweeting with asking questions, tweeting slogans, funny jokes and daily quotes or insulting others which keep you stand alone from others Twitter users.

5)Tweet your unique ideas and information such as breaking news, job opportunities, new product release and updates which will make your tweet more attractive.

6)Don’t mess up your profile with dirty shortened URL tweets. In other word don’t make any boring activity there. If you do, then People will think that you are some sort of an automated script or some may think you as spammer.

7)Give invitation to all of your friends in Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook and Myspace to follow you. You can also follow all of your friends and family members who are using twitter, they are the most valuable and informative twitterers to follow.

Use “Tweet This”button just below your post. Place you’re social book marking widget and plugin providing twitter button below your post.

9)Encourage your followers to re-tweet your links, this will provide @Twitter Username   in re-tweet link which will provide some incoming network to your profile.

10)Display your followers count and rankings by using Twitter counter, Twitter Grader buttons and other related plugins in your blogs. This is like displaying your proof  of  Twitter performance.

11)Always use “follow me” button or use button enabled widget at visible place in your blog or website. You can use fancy Tweeter button to encourage users to click it to follow you.

12)Mass following: follow more and more people and then wait for them to follow you in return. According to my opinion average chance of re-following is 20%, which means if you follow 100 people, then there is chance that out of 100 at least 20 would re-follow you.

13)Link your profile from all other available famous social networking service that you are using, like Digg,Facebook and Myspace.

14)Use your Twitter Id as signature in email, Instant messenger’s status and forums.

15)Try to keep your Twitter profile link just near your blog subscription form or in your about page. You can also put it in author-bio or just below every post.

16)You can setup a Twitter contest on your blog to become famous in twitter network. To get participate in twitter contest people need to follow contest holder, so definitely you would get more followers. Recently I was participated in Twitter contest on JonathanVolk.com, and happy to say that I won the contest (3rd place).

17)You can also participate in the  Twitter contests, as it will provide connection to contest holder’s tweeter activities.

18) Visit most followed Twitter users and try to get idea about how they are using their twitter account to attract more people.

19)Try to involve in conversation of most followed users. If those persons  showing some interest in you, then they may reply you, so people following those person may get your twitter Id and there is chance that more people will follow you.

20)Start writing an interesting post about Twitter on your blog, so people who are searching for Twitter related things would find you, and would show some interest in your Twitter profile.

21)You can also use a Twitter profile Id for commenting and writing guest post on others blogs.

23)Use attractive Twitter Id. Better way is to use your real name or your business name. Mostly the Blog owners are using blog name for business-branding. If you have a perfect twitter Id, then people will never hesitate to follow you.

24)If you are the crazy Twitter lover, then you can print your Twitter profile on your business card, on T-shirt and on your car. If you are mad about Twitter, OK!! now you can tattoo profile Id anywhere on your body.
